I went today to the Lubbock Association of Realtors vendor fair and met some great people.  Inspectors, roofers, insurance people, bug guys,etc.  And as I was driving home, I saw guys painting fences, grating lots and mowing lawns.  And of course, I had lunch with many realtors, some I knew and some i did not.   And a photographer I worked with last week wants to read blogs, so I decided to actually write on mine. Gosh, here we are—July 1. Time moves so fast. Half of 2017 is already gone. I’ve been a realtor for 4 months. I’m turning 60 in about 6 weeks. The plane for Hawaii leaves in 50 days. Whew. I’ve had one real estate sale. I’m not complaining. It was a blessing. I got to help a dear friend. I have known all along that I’m not going sell millions of dollars worth of houses. Last week, someone stole my older vacuum cleaner out of my garage.  Truth is, I don't remember what kind it was...Hoover maybe.  I was annoyed but more at the theft than the vacuum being gone.  Anyway, I had to buy a new one.  I looked online, read reviews, asked friends on Facebook and watched an infomercial and decided on the Shark Complete, a whopping $200 on the infomercial, about $100 more everywhere else.  Three days later, Mr Fed-Ex had delivered to my door.  I used it this morning and
